Limited Slip Differential

Hey, what's up everybody? I haven't posted in about a year, but I drop in frequently to see what's going on in the aftermarket for our car. Has anyone out there successfully installed the LSD made available as an option for the '06 year on an earlier model? It seems it shouldn't be too difficult, but I haven't seen any posts by anyone saying they've done it. I've got an '04, and I've managed to keep from modifying it thus far (trying to get the most out of my factory warranty), but I might be coming into some extra money, and I figure I'm ready to address a few of the performance issues that have been nagging at me all this time. I live in Michigan, and it's about time to get ready for the great frozen winter, and I'd like to face it with an LSD under my belt (some Dunlop Gradias too. These SP 9000s suck in the snow!). So if anyone knows anything, please give me the heads-up... Thanks!

thats completel BS... we had a car come in with mashed syncro's and we took apart the tranny and repleaced them... then came to find out we didn't even need to take the tranny out of the car... but thats not the point... anyway the tranny can be taken apart and the limited spli can be put in at the dealership.. might void a few warrenties and might cost u a lot of labor time to do it but if u want it done it can be done

'

so it can be done with the tranny in the car. That would save a few hours of removal time.

Why would it void warranties?

Interesting. Which syncros did you have to replace?? I could see maybe attempting to replace the 5th syncro only- without pulling the gearbox. (it's the one behind the back cover)
