Eaton M-62 Gen 5 Hybrid supercharger

Anyone know anything about it? Is GM coming out with this as a stage 3?

to be more specific, images are found here

still not sure if that's the "hybrid" blower, but it WOULD be sweet for a ram air deal! or as a blower for the SKY RL with Ram Air (i can dream, can't I?)

It does say this:
Quote:
When nitrous boost is added, performance jumps to 344 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 350 lb.-ft. of torque at 3600 rpm
So maybe "hybrid" means it incorporates the NO2 jets in the bottom of the blower.

I think Hybrid is just eaton's way of saying twin-screw Those diagrams make it look like a psuedo ram air setup but how much air can you really "ram" into a supercharger. All of these, http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=22107, vehicles that are using the staged upgrade kits are using this "hybrid" supercharger. Is it stage 3 who the hell knows its GM after all and I dont think any of us have a called a GM upgrade correctly. Hell I dont even think Bob Lutz knows what GM is doing

the diagrams for the patent show a more efficient supercharger than ours (think they MIGHT use it on the exterra). the forward inlet allows for greater efficiency. you can read a better description in the abstract of the invention in the first link (unless you want to read off teh actual patent)...
