pclear9061, tell me about your tires

I am taking the high road and not threadjacking, but, this is from another thread:

isn't a 235 wider then a 225? I am just going to assume you got the numbers backwards, and if so, what 235 tire are you running. I am about a month or two out from a new set and I wanted to get just a touch wider.

Do you ever scrape the fender wall?

no i have the 225 i was speaking in terms of compared to the stock 215 tires. i have these http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ech+M550+A%2FS they are great i love them and handleing for me is awsome. theres this road that is nothing but s turns and im takeing them at ~70 when Breech was trying to follow he can tell ya i was like glued to the ground and i had me and two other people in the car and i was just flying around them corners

they dont hit the fender, and if it is remembered correctly the 235's do hit that why i just went the safer route with the 225's i love them

Yep, between his sprint springs and those tires he can handle far better than I could in stock trim. I wasn't even close to him on the turns and I was pushing it to the scary limits IMO. Those tires also have a HUGE amount of tread on them. They look like they could last 100,000 miles if you drove like a granny.

I thought the thread title said "Pclear tell me about your eyes" and I thought for a minute that we turned into a Christopher Lowell Forum

it's the driver that makes the car, not the parts/car that makes the driver..

No doubt he drove well around the turns, but his setup proved far superior to the stock one. I drive professionally for a living......large equipment. I've put 40+ foot trailers in stalls with a few inches on either side to spare and taken tight turns with top heavy trailers......the redline isn't exactly a huge challenge to me. I wasn't trying to take anything away from Pclear, I was just saying that between his springs and tires I feel his car has a really nice advantage over the factory stuff that I had.
