K&N sayes two weeks...

been talking to a guy named 61belair that works at K&N. he sayes the tubes are ran and guesses that we will see one in two weeks.... cool!

i asked for pics but ill keep you updated

Just did the Barry mod...haven't driven yet, still recuperating....that air box was a royal pain to get out of there.

It got chopped up, for sure....I thought about a sawzall, but I had arm surgery two months ago and didn't want my arm freaking out while weilding a 20 lb saw with an 8 inch reciprocating blade, on my brand new car...I rotated the airbox several times, after removing the intake tube, and cut that sucker in half with my trusty 4" grinder (cutting wheel attached)...

I didn't notice a huge sound difference, but I didn't do the actual "Barry Mod" - instead of relocating the MAF, I cut the air box top's shelf, leaving the round part only and the MAF in place, and attached my cone filter. Drops the filter 6" lower to the ground and I didn't have to mess with the MAF.

I now have the K&N proto type cold air filter installed on my car. Dave Cortez in the pic installed it. By the way the filter is now in the driver side front fender.
