With the stge2 tune stge2 injectors and the 2.8 with the bypass mod in cold weather in chicago in tends to start back firing and popping exhaust near redline. thinkin since its cold out its putin more boost out and really over loading the stge2 injectors. so went back to stge 2(3.0) inch pulley. its the correct one and the engine runs healthier.
back firing wouldnt really be caused by too little gas usually.

2 things IMO... Get one step colder plugs and don't bother with the boost bypass... if it is pulling boost w/ a 2.8, there is good reason for it, it's not just limiting max psi. What octane you running?

Theres a boost reduction for knock learn the computer uses to keep your engine from blowing up. Thats why your loosing boost.

read everything you can regarding them on the forums... that's a start

It really depends on the size you want, go too small, and you'll need new injectors to keep up too.

Considering in a recent test that a Miata is able to outrun a cop on a course, you shouldn't have a problem... except for finding out that when you have more than one after you, spike strips, guns, and a cozy jail to take you to... then you should realize that you are a fucking idiot trying to run from the cops...
