I am pretty torqued about the damn thing not coming with a manifold gasket...

That's just not good service if you ask me...

Why do I have a feeling that getting TOG to send us gaskets (Just like they said they would) is going to be a real bitch?

Is that little channel cut into the manifold flange from the #4 primary for EGR? Can't say I have ever seen a design like that in an exhaust manifold...

yeah that's for the egr... don't worry it works fine. as for the gaskets... i told jon that the stock gasket would not work, i even sent him a pattern of the gasket i used, but he said the company that makes the headers told him he would not need it.

I have had the tog header for a while and the stock gasket will not work. Also expect problems with the colector flange.

The collecter flange looks like a standard 3" 3-bolt exhaust flange... What problems did you run into there?

I know Jon mentioned something to the effect of the manufacturer changing the design of the manifold flange so the stock gasket would work... Apparently that didn't happen.

The production model looks damn near identical to the prototype. I'll reserve absolute frustration and wait to see what kind of resolutions are made.

Some areas where I am frustrated are probably fairly obvious... The welds are not up to the standards I expect from a professional performance shop. Kinda sloppy. The lack of correct gaskets being shipped with the header... The inability to get in touch with ANYONE from TOG...

I really have a feeling they would be willing to work with us to make our initial bitches right, but even if they would be willing to work with us we can't initiate any communications because we don't know their address, we don't know their phone number, we don't have a working e-mail address...

WTF!!!!!!???????

Now that does kinda piss me off... Mine is supposed to be here Saturday... If it shows up, and I feel like I need to call TOG for whatever reason for some problem resolution and I CAN'T because their stupid phone is cut off and they don't have internet access, and blah friggin blah... I'll be hot then....

I'll keep my fingers crossed... Guess that's all I can do

NOPE! but I'm researching TOG to find a real contact number and when I do,
be sure I will make it available. In the mean time: Hotshot Performance has
nothing to do with TOG.

And in seperate response from HotShot Performance:

Seems like you guys are getting the short end of the stick. I did some
research on TOG and their phone number has been disconnected for almost a
month. I tried other numbers given to me and no luck. It seems like this TOG
company is either out of business or something's going on
...

wow that is where my scdyne header was made. No wonder it had the 3" tog collector. and the same crappy welds. This is what I have been trying to tell you guys without busting tog out. You guys pretty much have a scdyne header built by the same people. expect problems.

If you will look at the above message, they are stating that they did not build the header. It appears that nobody is going to admit a damn thing.

I can assure you that Hotshot / RGS makes the TOG headers as I have been there myself.

If they are telling you otherwise they are flat out lieing, which is standard practice at that place.
