methanol injection?

Anybody on here try it yet? We get huge gains off the kits I sell, and our staged cars even hold high octane mode (race gas switch) with normal pump gas with these kits installed. Just curious if anybody has seen good results with the redlines and methanol

There were two people who were running it (navymitch and i think clownhair). I think they thought the install was a pain and there was no real gain. That being said, this was before putting pulleys on became popular. I would love to see how well it works with a 2.8 or 2.6 pulley (non psi kit). I think the concept is there, but until recently, most of us were WELL within the operating ranges of the blower and intercooler.

yea, that's where it's going to come into play most, when you start running your power adder in it's upper levels pushing it more. I really need to get my hands on one of these toys lol

once something like the DHP from ZZP is released for the LSJ, Meth-alky injection kits will be in high demand

I love acronyms

Is it an SRT specific setup or just a generic kit? How much? What is included exactly? Too late to hop on board?

They're universal kits that can be installed on any car, and if anybody over here is interested they could hop in on it as well. Only makes the future mods more productive down the road as it's like running race gas at all times

I had one on my car with the 2.8" pulley. It was easy to hook up but I did not really notice any gains with it. It doesn't seem to work as well on S/C ed cars as I know most of the GTP guys aren't using it either.

You would get better gains from misting the mixture over the heat exchanger than you would from blowing it through the blower. Running anything through the blower is a very bad idea and will cause problems down the road. ESPECIALLY with the very close tolerances of this generation of the M62 blower.

Make the intercooler cores remove the heat better and the stock PCM calibration will offer up more power.

The ECOTEC family of engines have very well designed combution chambers and are not prone to detonation like the older engines were. Meth and even water in the inlet is a waste of time for the most part.
