I built some traction bars for the car today.

I ordered some McMaster parts to make some traction bars. The result is much like the traction bushings. The car rides nicer over bumps and traction is much improved. There is still some wheel hop in 1st gear and nothing in 2nd on up. That is mostly related to the stock motormounts.

I used a 12" aluminum 5/8"-18 tie rod and 5/8-18 hiem joints. There is a large bolt on the sub frame in the far front of the car that I connected one end to with a small spacer to allow range of motion. The other end was attached to the control arm by means of brackets that I welded to the arm. I will take some pics tomorrow.

I would also love to see some pics! If you're interested, and if the part is simple enough, I could run it through a FEA program so see where it would break.

I haven't seen Cynic's finished product, but just on looks alone, I'd say SPS...

http://www.spswebpage.com/store/inde...0223b6f4f62c3e

But, I think both Cynic and SMS, make a stronger one... and alot cheaper...
