Arrow Dropping LSJ into Solstice

I'm working on plan to drop an LSJ in to a Solstice. I know the blocks for the LSJ and the LE5 (new VVT 2.4L) are similar. Only diffrence I seem to see is that the LSJ has a shorter stroke. I know I'm going to have to deal with the computer systems and such. I was just planning on getting an engine harness and computer from an RL or a SS/SC. If I do the engine right I should beable to get WAY more Hp from the LSJ than the 2.0 turbo. I saw the turbo on that and its about the size of a baseball, maybe a little larger. Anyone know if I can just drop the SC on the side of a stock 2.4L and add the new computers or am I really going to be looking at swapping the two motors? Also anyone that knows where I can get spare parts like engines, harnesses and such please let me know.

Lastly, completely seperate from this. I had a small accident durring the winter. I bumped into another car in my driveway. Instead of the door pannel flexing, it shattered. I also need a fender. All the damage is on the drives side. Any good leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jerry De Francisco

I know they make a supercharger for the 2.2, I am not sure about the 2.4 since it has computer controlled valve timing. You also have to keep in mind that the size of a turbo for a motor is all about the efficancy of the turbo and matching that to the motor....its not always better to go bigger. I would just wait for the turbo version and mod it.

Yes, but an LSJ powered Solstice would be sexy. Actually, either one would be sexy, but the LSJ would be unique. When you get this done, I'll have to come look at it, my home is in Wheaton.

LSJ = this block engine, no matter what method of forced induction used on it. The 2.0 turbo & 2.0 S/C are the exact same engine.

Now if you wanted to go REALLY different, you could stuff something like a Cosworth 4-cylinder in a Solstice.

Good luck with whatever you do though.

Hey there nieighbor! Deer Park/Palatine right here. Let me know if you need a car to look at or something, I'm always around. Would love to give you a hand or get a first hand look at that puppy when it's done. That thing could be a track monster.

I really wish the Sky was coming with a blower... so much better on track...
