In the market for a pully

I have been looking at getting a smaller pully, and I need some help. I want to increase my hp and so on. But I am kinda limited in funds, so I am looking for a "stand-alone" if you know what I mean. I can't really afford to buy a bunch of other stuff just to have it (yet). I don't know how to do it myself, so chances are I would have to have someone (with a puller) help me, or have someone else do it. Any suggestions guys?

Any guys from billetflow or SFPH, or any pully companies, feel free to chip in.

I just got a Billet Flow 2.9" and 76 mm tensioner pulley for $145 shiped. I also grabed a set of NGK BK7RE plugs for $9. As far as Ive seen thats about all you really need. Spooner or some one else with a smaller pulley please jump in if anything else is needed with this small of a pulley but that should be it.

so far from what i've heard billetflow is the best, but I think I have heard good things from Sp00ner about the SFPHQ pullys. $156 isn't bad at all (for what you need) I'm looking for under $200 if possible.

I have a SFPH, and personally I would go with them, not because they have excellent prices and customer service (I am sure that ZZP, BilletFlow, etc all do too), but if you remember back to last summer, they were one of the first sponsors of this board. They were one of the first people to offer after market parts for the LSJ platform (even before the Cobalt SS hit the market). Even if their parts were just adapted for the L67 (GTP) platform, they reconized our car when there were only a handful really on the streets.

If you get a 2.9 (or even a 3.0), grab a set of plugs too.

ptparker, you think a 3" would be good for me? I really don't want to go smaller than that quite yet.

Are the plugs needed when you switch pulley's. Is there a huge difference between the stock plugs and the NGK BK7RE. I am also considering a smaller pulley.

Also they sell the plugs on the same site. Like $13 or so for the set if i remember.

The plugs are not totally necessary. I ran the 3.0 for about 1.5 months without the plugs. But as the weather got colder, I started to get a little more KR from the additional boost. When I put the plugs in, it all pretty much went away.
