I'm gonna drop them an e-mail, since I never have a chance to call. I'm leaning toward stage I right now, then will consider a pulley (perhaps smaller than stage II's) in the future...

There is a ton of information there...

1) Stage 1 will show up in the standard end of month master update
2) Stage 1&2 and 2 will show up in the standard end of month master update for April.

The fact that GM is holding to those dates at this time pretty much means that everything is on track for the end of Q1 for stage 1. This schedule looks like a supply problem had to be overcome for either the pulley or the belt, my guess is the pulley. If I were GM, I would have held off on distribution until the CARB exemption which was granted 02-07-06 before stocking up and moving out into the distribution centers. Looks good for a Friday release.

One other thing.. This could also be a sucker marketing move. Release stage 1 and get all of the ones that simply can not wait and then sell them stage 2 a month later with a bit more profit and clean out the suckers. Release the stage 1 and 2 together for those that have the patience and can add. Those that can wait would most likely go to a aftermarket for the pulley if they kept that price structure for the separate kits and they would not want to lose that part of the market share.

Great Info Mars!

Now what Im wondering is this...
Would a GM dealership have these injectors in stock for other vehicles so when you buy the kit they would be able to throw injectors in and reflash off the GM techline or would we have to wait until tuesday if the order goes through on friday to get our Stage 1

well the reason I say that is because that email was posted i think a couple weeks ago, and since then, at least a couple of the dealer contacts have said it's been pushed back a bit. They could be wrong, but since we're almost to the end of March now, and there's nothing to be ordered, makes me wonder if that's just a predone response to anyone askin about stage kits.

my 2 cents :P

My guess is the later (Tuesday). Per the CARB EO and likely the EPA would require that they sell and install as a kit to keep the emission family certified. The dealer will also need the serial number off the kit to get the VIC number from TAC so they can flash.

Thats kinda screwed up on GM's part.
They are having NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series this weekend at my track and GM is gonna be there with thier Phase 5 and Pro FWD cobalt there and it would make sense that they would want the tuners to have thier cars with the latest GMPP parts so they can run thier best. It's gonna be broadcast on ESPN2 so hopefully everyone can see me on TV this weekend at this event.

No problem and understood. The reason that I believe the release time table is the way marketing works. If there was a problem, I would think that wording would change a bit. From say the end of March to the near future or "soon". Marketing always likes to be vague if there is the chance that it will not happen the way they are planning. If you remember the SEMA announcement was the stage kit(s) would be available in Q1. If they could not release something in Q1 then marketing would go to the really vague answer.
