And I really don't think they will. I mean, they locked it up for numerous reasons, they are not just going to give it out now. Will they let it adapt more easily..maybe, but who knows.
I really should have put the sarcasm flag at the bottom.

dynoing a ricer is like beating off. it seems fun at the time, but theres really no point.

On top of that they don't offer as large of injectors (only ~38lb) so you lose out there. The GM stages will only put you so high or else its not under warranty. Same way with Dodge only holding up on their warranty for the Mopar stage 2. Once you hit stage 3 it is void, irregardless of who does the install.

Mopar does not warranty the stage kits other than standard parts warranty. Since they are not street legal Dalmer/Chrysler does not provide a warranty on the car. Off road use is considered abuse on a street car...:-)

Just had to add this also....

NO PARTS WARRANTY
Mopar Performance parts are sold "as is" unless otherwise noted. This means that parts sold by Mopar Performance carry no warranty whatsoever. Implied warranties, such as warranties of merchantability, are excluded. (An implied warranty of merchantability means that the part is reasonably fit for the general purpose for which is was sold). The entire risk as to quality and performance of such parts is with the buyer. Should such parts prove defective following their purchase, the buyer and not the manufacturer, distributor or retailer, assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repair. Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep® vehicle and parts warranties are voided if the vehicle or parts are used for competition. The addition of performance parts does not by itself void a vehicle's warranty. However, added performance parts (parts not originally supplied on the vehicle from the factory) are not covered by the vehicle's warranty, and any failure that they may cause is also not covered by the vehicle's warranty.

Yeah, I guess they are. Either that or they have someone on the inside. They have had the code for the Grand Prix's and lots of other GM cars that have the 3800 in it. Hopefully their options of how you want it tuned are as specific as they are with the grand prix's. If you check out the PCM section on the 3800 Series II/III on their it has a large area for customized for what you want or basic things they can do. It starts off at $99, but then depending on what you have it tuned to, certain options can be an additional $20. I am thinking it might be worth it with the hundreds someone will charge for the dyno tuning...around here it's about 130-150 an hour.

Are the stage 1 and stage2 upgrades available yet? If so how much and where would I go to get them?

Thanks,
Tim

Go to www.jbodyperformance.com They have the kit on there for sale, keep in mind the first price is for Canadian and the second (lesser of the two) is US Dollars.

erm first off even if you order from there you're not going to be getting it for a while? (GM hasn't even released it yet..)
and two their 'sale' is not a sale, ordering it directly from GM will be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than what they're charging.... I have no idea why ANYONE would buy it from there, they're charging like 300 over what dealers would be asking....

(could be wrong about the not getting it for a while but to the best of my knowledge we're still looking at late march for the stage 2)

The GM kits are rated at the wheels, just like the car is. The Intense Kit you're talking about is nice, too bad all the serious guys are getting the stage1 and combining that with the Intense kit. Stage 2 is $640 not $1000. No other kit will change the limiter, and relax the current DTC flag sensitivities. You go with your Intense Kit, and I'll go with my Stage 1 + Intense Kit, and we'll see how that works out for ya...
