Lowering spring installation...

I got my set of Progress springs in the other day and figured I'd tackle the job before work today. The back was cake but the front was a little tricky.


For those who've done it how'd you get the gold nut off the top of the strut? Did you need an air ratchet or what? A buddy and myself tried for about 45 min. to get it off of there to no avail. Any help will be appreciated.

where did you get your springs from? how much drop did you get front and back? Was it the same drop that they advertised?

you need eiher an electric or air powered impact gun.... you aint getting it off without one....

air impact was a piece of cake. Electric didnt do it for some reason.

my electric worked perfect.. but mines big and huge and beefy and well you get the idea.. but normally id use the air one. one of my guys was using mine at the time though so i tried out our electric for the first time actually and it worked great...

cool deal. I guess I'm gonna take a trip to my dad's house tomorrow to use his air tools.

I get really good deals on milwaukee tools if anyone wants a V28 Impact. That'll definitely do the trick
