HELL YA! Response from SCCA on Parts

This is pretty promising to me!!!!

Quote:
They are GM parts but the X denotes experimental, meaning a dealer may not be able to get the parts. You may have to contact the Club Racing Tech guys to get in touch with the GM people who can get the parts.

That's part of the email that the SCCA Tech guy sent me, he also gave me the email address of the head of the tech guys that knows exactly what those parts are and, according to Doug (Doug Gill is the name of the SCCA guy) these guys would also know what they do, where they are, and how to eventually get them.

just a note, I would NOT suggest getting the rear springs or you will hate your car, 700+ lbs/inch is INSANE

I was looking over the SCCA classifications for the Ion Redline and came across the list of parts that were listed in the other post. The one that says 'Does this make sense to anyone'. It came with a list of GM parts that would alter the 'stock' Redline. After some questioning the SCCA person I was talking to told me what was quoted above. This means, as far as I can tell, that there is a list of factory performance upgrades that will become available.
