lack of power after extended driving

it seems like after i drive a long distance(to or from work, 30 miles, mostly highway) the car seems to be slightly lacking in power compared to when i first start driving. This is mostly noticable in 2nd gear. Not a HUGE loss of power but noticable. Has anybody else experienced anything like this, or know what might cause somthing like this?

Oh? Ask GCham, BlkCSS and RiceEater about red ones... Apparently its fast enough to stay on the bumper of an Intense equipped one, and leave another one totally behind!

They referred to my car as a factory freak... hehe...

I'd say let your car get warmed up (temp needle at halfway), and open the hood. Look at the little clear filler, for the intercooler. Should notice movement (pink liquid), and, at least in my experience, the level rises a bit. I assumed I had the wire-reversed issues, as I'm an '04, but my intercooler seems to be working fine.
