Some info could help.

I just got my springs in today but I had some questions. I didn't get any instructions with them and wasn't sure if I was supposed to. I know I read something about cutting something for the install. Would somebody be able to tell me how the springs are supposed to be installed. Second I also got my CAI and was wondering if I should follow the directions and cut the airbox or not.

If you got the K&N, it tells yo NOT to cut the airbox. I would not.

There's a complete write up on the spring install from Zfactor, and all the tq specs for the job are also posted. The spring instructions are in the how-to section, and the tq specs are in one of the discussion forums.

You need to have a spring compressor, and an impact gun.

I do have the K&N and when I looked at the instructions for the install it gave me a template to cut something down by the wheel well. I did't really get a good look at the instructions I had just gotten home from school at 11 pm so it was a quick look but I know it says to cut something in the instructions.

Ah! That part you should cut. It's part of the 'trim' under the car, in front of the driver's side wheel. It's very easy to do, and I would suggest doing it. You pretty much have to remove it to open the wheel well anyway.
