noise fron the cat

about a couple of weeks ago i put on my new sms header and magnaflow 2.5 cat back. i got this annoying buzzing/vibrating noise whenever i hit the gas. the more power the louder it is. i got under the car and it sounds like it is coming from the cat. their is no exhaust leak. no part of the exhaust is contacting the car from what i can tell. tommrow i am taking the car to saturn for a check engine light and to hopefully take off the downpipe and check the cat. but if they dont find anything i could use some ideas.

I have the exact same thing. I dont know why but for some reason it sounds like a vibration that is hitting on metal I also got under my car and had a friend rev the engine and it did sound like it was comming form inside the cat by any chance are u 04

yea, an 04. about to take it to saturn. hope they actully help. i have been having issues with that latelly

saturn said that the cat was all fuckered up, and that is what was setting off the check engine light. will have to get sms to send the cat portion of the header on monday.
