strange knock sound from front suspension

I have progress springs and everytime i back out of a parking place or doing a tight U turn or any situation where I turn the wheel allmost all the way I will hear a thunk from the front of the car. I only hear it when im going very slow. Saturn will not touch anything because of aftermarket springs. Any ideas what it is? Im thinking something might of come loose after i installed my springs. But it was fine for months after i installed them.

It's most likely the springs, Saturn should look at it, but you'd have to pay. If it's bad, I'd suggest checking over your install again.

How low of a drop are those?

I remember reading something about the spring not seating properly in the perch. I think this was a problem when people used to use QC springs for the RL also. Do a search, I think you can probably find something. I think the old QC Eibach springs did it too. I remember something about a little duct tape would fix it.

1.2 inch drop. Not very extreme at all. I dont really have any more faith in my local saturn dealers, this forum has 10 times more resourseful than any saturn trained tech. There are 2 local dealers for me and both put the wrong oil in and one was making up tech mumbo jumbo words when he should of said "i dunno why your car smells like burnt oil". bah.. im ranting

Sounds like the springs are turning in the perches. My old coilovers did the same thing.
