Unhappy Need Help Big Time!

Hey guys what type of rim do we have, Polished aluminum or chrome covered aluminum clear coated. Tire place gowged all four rims of mine putting my summers on a month ago. They looked at them and they are going to do something for me. I know they will flake either way, and want some advice on what to do. If they are going to pay for them I want the comp rims , and they don't cost anymore than the chrome ones. Guy told me they might be able to fix them but I don't trust that.

That sucks. I'd be pissed. I had to order 1 new summer tire, since i slid into a curb on some snow back in December. The tire should be in stock any day now, so hopefully the place doesn't mess up my wheels.

Well I keep my tires @ my parents house during the winter and summer because I live in a condo with no room. So when I went up to there house and had them put on they told me it would take forty five min or less. Went to the local saturn to check out a sky and an hour later they hadn't even touched it yet. So I called them up and they said an hour 1/2 it would be done. So long story short it took like 2 1/2 hours and the guy just walked up to me and was like its free. I figured it was just because of the time but I guess not.

I'm fairly sure that they are polished aluminum.

There is a red redline at teh local dealer that has grey wheels on it. Like a cloud grey, no polished lip, the whole wheel is grey and the angles on the spokes are sharp angles. Other than that, same wheel, same design. I like them.

fine grit sandpaper, wet sand..

rubbing compound and towels..

and...

a lot of time..

There's no way they'll buy you a new set of rims unless they're cheaper than repairing the old ones. That being unlikely, request that they send them to keystone who will redo any wheel that has scratches dings, dents, etc... on them. The nice thing about keystone is they don't clearcoat it they powdercoat it after the repair so they're not nearly as fragile as they are stock. Also, they're guaranteed for life. If any of the repair work fails or anything, they'll throw you a new one no charge.
