Erratic Idle Poll to get info for Scott from Intense to solve problem

Hey guys, I was wanting to take a poll of all the people that have an issue with the way their idle is. I am curious if you have an INTENSE PCM, GM Stage kit or stock. Also, any replys in regards to modifications you may have is greatly appreciated. Hopefully, they can figure out what is causing this and get the issue resolved.

The more information, the better...

Ideally, for anyone who has experienced this problem, the following information might prove to be useful:

1. What is the year and model of your car (i.e. '04, '05 or '06 Redline or CobaltSS)?

2. What PCM are you running (stock, GM Stage Kit flash or INTENSE)?

3. What airbox are you running (stock or aftermarket, and if aftermarket, which brand)?

4. When is the problem most likely to occur (i.e. hot or cold, decelerating, starting out, in a certain gear, etc.)?

Once we're able to gather some data, we'll do our best to help you guys come up with a solution to this problem.

06 rl stock pcm stock air box, after i do a hard stop going upto a light or stop sign i get it if i sit ther and idle

Bounces all over, but I bumped my idle speed a few rpms and that seemed to make it stop, that was with my high ocatne setup, so I might have changed something else that helped...

K&N Intake.

Almost exclusively when the A/C is on.

So is there only three people having or have had this problem? I could have sworn with all the threads started about it there would be more people.

There's more, I know Ender, Tibbet, mamma, all have issues with it as well.

'04 RL, GM Stage 1, K&N CAI (although, it happened before the intake too)...

Usually, it needs to be on the warmer side for it to happen, but I can pretty much duplicate with the A/C on 100% of the time (while stopped/idling). RPMs drop slowly and the computer kicks 'em back up a few hundred then it drops down between 500-750 RPMs, the computer again kicks the RPMs up to compensate and it'll bounce back n forth for about a minute or until it stalls. At it's worst point, the RPM fluctuation has been 1250-1500. More often than not, not long after the computer brings it back under control, it'll go through the cycle again. REALLY annoying sitting at a light.

I've done EXTENSIVE testing/monitoring of this issue with and without my service dept's help...there really doesn't seem to be any consitent variables associated. We've watched IATs, Coolant, Battery/Engine Loads, etc. and nothing tipped us off as to when exactly it would happen.

You can actually 'hear' a click when it stats up again. I'm not sure if it's the A/C compressor cycling or what....

04, GM Staged, K&N CAI....does it all the time with A/C when at idle....does it every once and while also when I stop fast and then it starts to go up and down, I swear one day it kinda died then started on it's own.

04 with a drop in K&N filter. No other mods at this time. Mine doesn't do it often, but the A/C is on when it happened. Also happens more when its hot outside or at least very humid. If I rev it to about 3.5 to 4k, it tends to settle down and idle right.
