Car threw 2 codes today PLEASE!!!

I was driving on the free way and I got 2 codes. One shocked me cause its the P0172, Ive always thrown P0171 so this baffles me!!! My other code is a
B0064. Left front pretentioner deployment loop resistence low (history) (Immature) Does any one know what this is? My guess is it has something to do with a pulley that maybe slipping or something. I did notice a couple days ago when I drive the air on in 2nd gear, it kinda makes a growling noise. Could this be the culprit??

P0172 is a rich condition code. Haven't seen one on a Redline yet but if it resets after being cleared, check for restrictions in the intake system such as a clogged or water saturated filter. If you are inclined, you may want to pull your spark plugs and check for fouling... I have seen that on Redlines that sat on the lot for weeks without being driven more than 20 feet at a time.. usually they blew black smoke and ran like crap. Also possible you have a bad tank of gas?

The B0064 code has to do with the Driver Seatbelt Pretensioner, which fires in the event of airbag deployment to basically pull you against the seatback to help properly position you body for the impact. You either have a wiring problem in the system or the pretensioner itself is bad. I've also seen instances where the retention clip for the connector was not in place causing and intermittent contact condition at the connector. You would have to pull down at least part of the headliner to inspect it, however I would recommend letting a professional deal with anything airbag/restraint related as there are obvious safety issues.

Well thats cool about the pretensioner. I thought it was more serious along the lines of it being in the engine. Im not too worried about the rich condition cause I am running the intense stage 1 tune with cold air intake. But I am shocked that when I was scanning my car today with my HPTuner, the LT B2 gauge was reading -100%. How is bank 2 reading when its a 4 cylinder car??

Not sure exactly how HPTuners works.. haven't researched it at all... I'm sure if its giving any data for a cylinder bank that isn't there, it's just junk data that doesn't mean anything. I know with my Tech 2 I get wacky readings from sensors if say the car isn't running... there's still a default value.

Not sure what you were reading
HPT LT B1 and B2 ranges from -25 to +25 in gage mode. The B2 usually remains "blank" as of course there is no transmitted PID for bank 2 O2 or fuel trims. You can adjust the PIDs in each of the HPT scan tool displays, I suggest you remove all of the Bank 2 stuff and replace it with something more useful.

I got the P0172 yesturday. My filter should be fine, its brand new and is an oil free filter, but I'll check my plugs today to see what's up.

anyone have any other ideas on what it could be?

Mods? or other changes of late that might cause you to be RICH?

I wouldnt worry too much about your spark plugs (unless your intention was merely to confirm you are running too rich - which should be pretty obvious)

Spark plugs issues and secondary misfiring will generally indicate LEAN not RICH as the O2 sensor measures oxygen NOT fuel in the exhaust.
This is because besides the unburned fuel a misfiring cylinder releases it also exhausts a lot of unconsumed oxygen that immediately gets detected by the O2 sensor - so it adds even MORE fuel!
So generally this will trigger a P0171 or P0300 (misfire) NOT a P0172

so should i just get the code cleared and go on or is there something that i actually need to do/change?

I have a aem intake, and I changed the filter to a oil free so I wouldn't get the code for the maf sensor, and a header made for the 2.2eco.(header for 2.0s/c will be going on soon.)

Ive cleared mine and its come back twice. I put the stock tune back on so I could see if it would still trigger and it did. The weird thing is, it comes on when Im driving normal. I would expect it to come on when Im in boost or high rpms. Ive been clear for 3 days so Im hoping its ok!
