Question My Interceptor is not functioning as i thought it would.

i got my ney interceptors in friday, mounted them and hooked them up. and those things seem to be on crack. i have the version 1.4 dual guage setup from pfcy.com. it says gm on the manual, but i am not reading some of the stuf thats on the online manual on pfyc.com, like intake air 2 temp, and supercharger inlet pressure. and alot of the things that the gauge does show are messed up. heres line by line what it reads.

intake air 'f, usually 90's, and it is hot outside
coolant 'f, 190s ish, give or take
transmission 'f, 65496, it allways reads that
rpm, seems as slow as the stock tach
maf lb/m, it will rise with rpm to about 23
manifold psi, ive seen -11 cruising to 14.5 in wot
throttle pct, seems good
miles per hour, seems good
ignition adv, cruising, 0 to 30, wot, 0 rising to 15
pulse width ms, cruising, 1.5 to 3, wot, up to 19
short trim b1, cruising, -11 to 7, wot, 0
short trim b2, -100, allways
long trim b1, cruising -5 to -9, wot, 1.5
long trim b2, allways -100
o2 voltage b1, bounces from 20ish to 950ish
o2 voltage b2, 0, allways
run time mins, good?
battery, 14.2ish
iac position, 0 allways
engine load, good
miles/gallon, bounces from 0 to about 400, but seems good while cruising
horsepower, seems ok, seen up to 210
and analog 1 and 2, but i dont use them

and when in the manual it says to press the left button i need to press the right, and right is left.

Those are all normal temps and stuff to have man. And the car will always be around 10 or 11 vacuum when at idle or cruise.

Those all seem normal too man. The long trim should be around -5 when cruising.

Those all seem to be in the norm as well.

Don't know what to tell ya aboout that, I guess get used to pressing the wrong one. The left one should control the top parameter and the right should control the bottom. The left controls the scrolling down of the option list and the right one should choose the option.

I also thought those numbers read correctly. I always thought a real good car should run about 20 inHg at idle.

trans temp 65496 normal?
the st and lt b2 readings allways being -100 and o2 voltabe b2 allways at 0?
what the hell is iac position, and why is it allways at 0?
no intake air temp2 or supercharger inlet pressure?
and the record function seems to be retarded as well. when i slam on the gas it lights up like its supposed to, but when i play back the log, what it plays back makes no sense. i tryed a few times to record a 1/8 mile run at the strip, but when i played back it showed my revs hanging out at about idle when i was actully flying through gears. nothing i recorded corrasponded with my run.

i know most of it is normal, i just posted it as a refrence to show what it read, as it does not seem to be what the manual says it should be reading.

You're seeing parameters that aren't applicable to the Ion. The Trans temp for instance, and the o2b2, etc.

I bought my gauge from PYFR. You have to specify that you want it for a Redline or Cobalt. I had to send mine over to Interceptor so they can reprogram it. If you did not specify Redline it is a generic for all GM cars.

The fact that you are reading IAC and tranny temp means you have the generic GM gauge, NOT the LSJ specifiic one. The guys you bought it from screwed up. When we first hooked up an Interceptor to my '04 RL, the tranny temp showed a -39°, it should not read it at all because there is no auto trans in the car. It should also NOT read IAC, because we have drive by wire. Our cars only have a bank 1, there is no bank 2. Todd removed all of these quirks that showed up when the GM gauge was hooked up to the Red Line. Send them back and get the correct ones, or contact Aeroforce tec and see if they can reflash them to LSJ specs. If it were me, I'd be on the retailer for selling me shit that was wrong, unless it was YOU that fucked up ordering them.

The cluster tach gauge is only as good as the signal it receives from the PCM, unfortunately, the Interceptor gets that same signal so it will mirror the reading of the tach.
