Fullthrottle or anyone, how did you get your boost up with your 2.7

I just put the 2.7 on and bkr7e gapped at .035. And my boost is only 12psi, I believe the spark plugs have nothing to due with the boost, but it is 106 degrees today. Aren't I supposed to be boosting around 18psi. Any help will be appreciated. Anybody with any ideas?????

I believe the boost bypass mod will only be affective if you don't have the Stage reflash, which he does have. Answers to lack of boost increase, i don't have...
*edit* did you use some sort of belt tensioner/larger idler with the 2.7? you might be slipping with a stock belt. that might explain the boost problem. Not sure just an idea.

You need the boost bypass regardless of stage kitiness. If you dont believe me w.e. I bled boost at 15-16 psi without it and right now i boost 19-20 depending on temp with it.

I have a 76mm idler pulley that Billetflow told me I had to get with the 2.7. I will gap to .040, but I was expecting more power with the 2.7 rather than the 3.1. It feels like the 3.1 was stronger than the 2.7. When I change to the 2.7 I unplugged the battery so the computer can read the new boost, so maybe it takes awhile for the computer to adjust to the new boost????
