Pulley Tensioner SNAPPED

This morning I left my house all fine, one corner, accel, blower whine, fine
one more corner, heard a little think noise, and something that sounded like going through a puddle (which i did) thought it should be ok.... go .... no power... got up to like 40KM/H ... battery light comes on.
thought it was a computer problem or the car losing its mind like it does now and then, so i pulled over, stop car, start car.... try again, get up to 40... pull over, squealing starts, open door, sounds like someone is skinning a cat, turn off... look under hood, see belt riding up everywhere and the tensioner being a douche.
grrr

the silver bolt near the top of the tensioner appears to have completley sheared off, i did not get any photo's as I didnt have my cellphone on me, and i had to get to work. Got it towed in to saturn of regina who are ordering in a new tensioner for me, will be fixed by monday. There is really no reason for this to have happened so i'm thinking it must have been some kind of factory defect http://www.redlineforums.com/forums/...s/killtard.gif
