First Major Malfunction Limp Mode

Actually, my first problem happened ysterday, LIMP MODE. Last night I was running it pretty hard having some fun and BAM, it cut out and everything. I disconnected the battery and that didn't work. I limped it to a freinds house (closer than mine), unhooked the battery overnight thinking it needed to cool off. I went back this afternoon and it was still LIMP. I checked all the connections last night but in the daylight I saw the loose one. It was a connector under the supercharger, I was so relieved that it was fixed.

Unfortunately the "reduced power" indicator comes on when I start it now. I'm going to see if one of my friends with a computer can clear it out. Also a CEL was read by autozone P0171. Autozone guy said it was a pre-cat sensor and that it's running lean. Could I have damaged something while driving in limp mode?

Well it's up and running so I can drive it there, unless you mean to avoid further damage. I'm thinking I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay the $100 ded. for warranty work. I bought the wrong extended warranty.

Yeah I know. I honestly think it's ok. The limp mode was only because the computer lost a connection to the supercharger and wasn't receiving data. I haven't run it that much since it was reconnected, but I was hoping the computer would realize there is no longer a problem and reset itself. I still plan to take it in though and have that $70 diagnostic run on it.

I have to take it in this week anyway, my recirculation vent actuator went out and they had to order me another. They said they had to get it from Nevada, TN didn't even have it. It's a $54 part.

Ok, I figured out what was causing the lean code and fixed it. I still get the temporary reduced power indicator when I crank the car. It's only on for a second as if it's part of the instrument gauge check. Does that normally come on and I never noticed till now, or is it trying to tell me limp mode has been logged and needs to be cleared by the dealer or something?
