my car bucks and stutters a ton. i just had it in and they updated the ecu and it ran great we figured that was the problem.. so i am out of ideas we checked all kinds of things to see what it could be... i think im gonna put the stock intake back on and see if that helps...

If you have a K&N, check to make sure it's still in once piece. Do you have another other mods, or a custom tune?

What yr is your car? The 04s do stuff like that a LOT more than the 05s. If you have an 04, find someone w/ HPT that'll flash you w/ 05 settings.

okay well i figured it out... and im not happy... i just took apart the k&n intake and when i went to pull out the bottom half of the tube i was able to pour oh i dont know about 2 cups of water out of the tube... and yes the filter was clamped down tight as were all of the piping i tried pulling them apart and they were not coming apart till i unscrewed them...hmmm so now im pissed.... i dont see how that much water got it there by the filter...

I'm no expert but it could be condensation collecting in there from sucking in all that air, then condensing during the evenings and since it is pretty heavy in the water state versus the vaport state it may just stay in the bottom part of the K&N. I will check mine out this weekend and see if there is any water in mine since it has been super moist here this week.

Sorry about your find, but at least you have a ways to a means to fix it.

Check your fender well, etc to make sure the filter is staying out of the way of any road spray.

Did you drive through any decent sized puddles lately?

nothing is geeting in there while driving from what i can tell... its not from puddles its been doing this since like 2 months ago... if there was water in there after 2 months it would have dried up by now.. i usually dont even drive this car when it raing i usually will take the vue instead... i went to the shop this morning at 8:30 the car sat all day in the rain didnt get moved at all. i left the shop at maybe 2:30 didnt even leave my parking lot when it started the problems. so the water collected from it sitting all day.. not cool
