Manual Trans Fluid how often should I change it???

Ok im @ 27k miles now on my car should I change the Tranny fluid at 30k?

And is it as easy to change as it is in my 93 Civic EX manual(took like 5min).

Anyone have pictures of where the drain plug is and fill plug?

you should never have to change it according to the tecs at the dealership I go to. if you do want to change it its real easy there are two alen head bolts in the side of the tranny the side that faces the wheel assembly. take the bottom one out to draid and the top one out to fill. it takes 1.8 quarts I dont know if there is another fluid you can put in there besides the stuff at saturn. it cost about 17 bucks a quart. but if you only have 30K on your car you dont even need to think about changing it that is if there is actually a recommended change intervul.

No fluid will last forever it always breaks down. I know most older manual cars your supposed to do it every 30k. So newer ones can problably last a little longer but I just want to be on the safe side and know my car is maintanced well.

So are the bolts on driver side or passanger side?
