"creaking" w/BWOODY traction bars, anybody else have it??

Started yesterday after 2 weeks on the car. Applying the brakes coming to a stop sign, creaking noises come from the front of the car, at one point I thought the right CV joint was ready to launch. We put a floorjack under the front X-bar and as the car was lifted, major creaking noises were heard. Tomorrow I'm loosening the bars to "neutral" and driving around to see if it dissapears or remains. Anyone else have this type of thing happen after a whhile or even right away?

It's not coming from the heim joints on the bars, more like from the lower control arms.

That's what I mean, coming down my gravel driveway with it's bumps, going throught the carshow parking lot yesterday. That was embarassing, going slow and having people look at the Red Line making these loud creaking noises.

I have no experience w/ FWD traction bars, but I've always used RWD traction bars, and you were never supposed to drive around w/ them loaded.

I would assume the same holds true in this case?

it could be that you have them too tight or the mounting bolts have loosened up. also did you use lithium grease on them before tightening. on all of our installs, we lube, retighten the mounting bolts after about 100 miles. try checking the mounting bolts and check for lube. then check for them being tightened too much. any problems dont hesitate to call

Put some white lithum grease on them and the creak will go away like mine did.

as stated in the instructions use white lithium grease on the joint itself working it in with a side to side action, the creak will go away, while your under the car check to make sure nothing loosened up we have found that these bars like to seat themselves after about 100 miles. if you have any more problems you can call us at 443-807-3662.

thanks,
mike

Nice responses! Did you try this, and did it solve the problem Blu? I was having an issue on my rear bar after about 150 miles it started to making a creaking noise, I found out it was lose and was fixed (was a lock nut and/or lock washer... was changed it a Nut with a Jam Nut). Take Care
