IC PUMP is in my hand

I took my intercooler pump off today and bench tested it....It is working nothing appears to be broke inside however there is little black dust evrywhere in there and a lot of it.....Also i notice that it kind of runs pretty rough unless i apply pressure to the side where the wires stick out...When i push on that side with my hand it turns faster and smoother.......Also when it is correctly mounted nothing is pressing there...SO im thinking that could be the problem....I thought for sure this pump was broke now that i know it is "working" i am lost on what to try next...I checked the fuse and bled the system....???????????I guess tomorow when i put it back on i will try and figure a way to put pressure on the bottom side and see if that gives me flow.

Perhaps that connection is intermittent. When you're driving down the road, there's no way you could have a constant source of pressure on that connection.

From my searching on the forms it seems that if the flow is too much you wopnt get optimum cooling.....Also I have video of me pressing on the bottom and letting go and the pump turning on and off respectively...Im currently uploading the video and will post a link soon in the media section.

Correct. Slow and steady wins this race, unless you have a far superior method of cooling (i.e. dry ice, co2, etc.) Even then, it remains to be seen what a higher flow rate would do.
