How To: Cruise Control Fix!!!

*Special thanks to CoolBeans who said he had the same problem & got his fixed*

Alright....so my car is TOTALLY STOCK has only 250 miles on it now & the Cruise was only working when it wanted to. I was gonna take it to do the dealer today until I noticed last night under my dash the clutch position sensor was right behind the clutch pedal (didn't bother too look before).....it's the blue & white thing in the picture (picture was taken after I adjusted it):

Anyways.....all you gotta do is reach under the dash and squeeze the two blue tabs on in and then push it up & it'll pop out of the bracket that holds it. This is how it looked before I adjusted it:

Now all you gotta do is spin it down (it's threaded) so that the switch sits back higher. I did it to where it was flush with the blue piece:

Then just pop it back into place & it's good to go!

See....what triggers the cruise to not work is a combination of riding the clutch & the sensor. If you ride the clutch, the sensor is still in & sending a signal that the clutch isn't out all the way & that interferes with the cruise somehow.

SO....by adjusting the sensor to a higher point....you can still ride the clutch (if you must), but when you're letting up a little on the clutch the sensor will be out all the way & everything is okay.

Worked for me 5 times yesterday & all day without one glitch. I even rode the clutch on purpose & it still worked fine.

Hope that helps!

Why not just remove your foot from the clutch?

I would sometimes leave the left button engaged, hit the clutch a few times without turning off the cruise and voila no more cruise control
