Well, lemme ask you, does it seem like mine is working from that vid?

It looks to me like it's "flowing" actively and not just from displacement

Pierre, I think that's acceptable. NoRemorse told me that either side could cause the fluid to rise depending upon which way the stream was flowing.
I get a noticable difference in level depending on which side I squeze. When I squeze the drivers side hose it goes from the cold level line almost to the top. The other side does not rise more than 1/2 way and a fair amount of that is just the displacement from pinching the hose as Watts-up pointed out. Take your cap off BTW.

That sounds about right from what I've been told.

However, I just had someone else look at the neck while I reved the engine and all it did was just bubble.

Can someone confirm what kind of flow we should be seeing if the pump is operating correctly? Does it just flow up to the top, does it circulate, what?

Cool, thanks.

I think mine is working fine. It looks like there's a swirl of fluid in the neck. I just want to make sure that other new guys here know what to look for. I only made the vid, I'm not an expert of how the pump should operate.

What bothers me is the pump is rated to deliver 6 gallons a minute with low back pressure. Thats close to the volume you get out of the hose at home. Now way wee see that much velocity in the fill neck. I think WOP mentioned the acual in line flow for the intercooler system was about 2 gallons a minute. Centrigugal pumps are very sensitive to resistance in the flow path.

It seems to me that having the wireing reversed will not affect the direction of flow. The pump rotation will change. It will affect the volume of fluid pumped however.

Bottom line
We need one of the guys with a properly working system verified by a data log to see how their system responds to these simple tests.

Wrong. The pump motor is rated at 6gpm, but the pump itself will never put out that kind of flow.

At any rate, the fluid is only cooled as fast as the IC can cool it. The rate of circulation has little effect on the cooling when the intercooler is the bottleneck.
