turning the car on incorrectly could through a code lol

Seriously though, go to autozone etc and get it read for free. Then you can search on here to find what it is.

Car is not tuned. Just an aem intake. Supercharger feels verry hot to the touch... Had this problem last summer then it went away. Today is the first really warm day i drove it with AC on. Engine temp is normal. The aem intake feels hot still even though it has been sitting for an hour. Last summer when this happend the light would not stay on long enough for me to take it somewhere to get them to check the code.... Car runs just fine just conserned about the light on the dash...

different intakes have caused all sorts of codes to be thrown. Usually associated to the MAF

Im new to the car thing. I guess i hope it stays on long enough for me to take it to auto zone. Last time this happened i took it there and it already went off and no codes were shown.

if it continues, put the stocker back on and see if it happens again. if it does your problem is elsewhere.

I left it at my girlfriends house and we went out for dinner hoping it would be off when i got back in it. Its still on so i drove it home with it on. When i turn the key on without starting it its already on and never goes off and stays on after i start it. I don't have the stock on. I hope its still on in the morning so i can go figure out what the deal is. If its throwing a code I thought the code should stay in the computer even after the light is off? Its the light directly under the fuel gage. I bought the car with the intake on it so I don't have the stock one to throw back on it.

Thanks for your help.

I'm thinking its the mass flow sensor but why would it act up seasonally?

With the ac on and im pulling up to a red light or a stop sign with the clutch pushed in the engine will stay reved up to about 1,400rpm and after i come to a complete stop it will settle down to about 900rpm is this normal?

I'm going to guess it's a P1182 code. When mine was stock, it threw that thing whenever I used the AC, and never with any change in performance. If it is indeed this code, you don't have too much to worry about - it's not hurting anything. Here's something someone found that worked.

However, since you have an intake, it pulls in more air than the car is expecting, and I believe that's also the code it'll throw. the only way to REALLY eliminate it is to get someone with HPTuners to adjust the appropriate variable. Just a matter of setting the computer to expect more airflow.

Yes, your car will idle a little higher until you come to a complete stop, this is normal.

Woke up this morning to go check and see if the light was still on. It was on so i took off to auto zone. The light stayed on the entire way and i was about to get into the turning lane and the damn thing went off. So they couldnt check it for me.l
