Fuel Leak...

Kept smelling gas when i stopped at a light and when i got home i see that there is a steady drip of gas comming from where the fuel line connects to the cap of the fuel rail. (the bolt that presses the line into the o ring) This is out of the blue, no reason for a leak that i can think of. So i grab a wrench and take it apart, it looks fine. I put it back together and when im torqing it down the entire cap of the fuel rail pops off! (the angled oval peice at the left end of the rail) I cant figure out how this goes back on. It looks like it was pressed and clamped with a machine! It also seems to me that it serves no purpose but to fuck up your warrenty! This sucks.. car went from just fine to totally disabled in 5 min. Now I have to take time from work, tow this pos to a dealer, and then let them deny warrenty and take it up the arse.

Unless i can just buy a new fuel rail online somewhere. I HATE taking it to the dealer. Dealers =

Somebody explain the reason the rail was designed with that oval cap on the left end.

That should be a free fix, if it was part of the recall and never done, even if it's outta warranty I think.
