Hit a wall...

That's what it felt like, after starting up the car for the first time today...giving it about 2 minutes to warm up and driving about a block and a half before stepping on it in first (after making a sharp turn). I probably got to about 6k RPMs and the thing about stopped...like I "hit a wall" - wtf!?!?!

It didn't stall, it somehow recovered and we kept on going on our way...no codes or lights or anything.

After giving it a little more time to warm up, I step on it again, and it doesn't do quite the same thing, but I could definitely feel the car stutter/hiccup (only while WOT) a bit...with a surging feeling/sensation.

Now, the car was outside yesterday, with some rain and I got the K&N, so the question is - is that (enough) water getting into the motor and causing this? Or could it be something else?

What do/can I do?

Didn't stall...read again - LoL (no code or lights or anything)

Didn't check the fuel filter - might have to do that tomorrow. I heard that could be tricky. ????

I havn't checked it on this car yet either. It was really easy on my old saturn, one hand right behind the rear drivers side wheel and ,pop, out it comes(spilling lots of gas all over the place)

I'm looking at the procedures in the manual now, seems easy enough...

Any other ideas one what I should check?

2-Stage colder "Brisk" plugs with the 3.15" pulley (intended for the 2.9/2.7") but been running them anyway... ????

Sounds like what Zfactor's car was doing when he ingested water.

I was afraid of that...guess I'm off to go dig up some of his threads.

No codes or lights, and I was able open her up immediately afterward without many issues, so I don't think it was limp mode. (Can limp mode self-correct without turning the car off at all, and instantaneously)
