SMS Headers w/ downpipe

Don't know if this is a problem or if it is teh way it is but I just got my ION Redline Header Package installed and ever since I been driving it sounds like a Swarm of bees are having a party near or around my engine bay.
I tried searching the forums and only found a couple people with SMS headers but nothing really mentioning the sound.

I mean if it suppose to sound like this.....that's cool I can maintain to live with it but I just don't want to find out that my stealership didnt just do a very quicky job and something is wrong. Everytime I call the service manager he is like the guy that installed my headers is very busy or some crap like that.

Otherwise the performance aspect is great with a noticeable top end increase......but is this how SMS headers sound? BBbzzzzzz.
Isn't there like a heat sheiding somewhere within the header?

Any info would be gladly appreciated.
Thx

Yeah I have heard the SMS header package before and it sounds like you have an exhaust leak but you really don't. I think what you are hearing is just the way the package is designed.

Yeah, sounds like they definetly left something loose, or maybe there's a leak. Don't let the stealerships jerk you around. Tell them you want an appointment, or you'll wait, or come back when he's not so "busy". He wasn't too busy to take your money.

Yea the "service manager" from the stealership, after he "accidently" hung up on me says "he is wrapped up tight on a car man you are going to have to wait till Monday...." I just hung up on him then....

Thx Watts-Up

there are other members who have had this problem with the SMS header wes carter is aware of it supposidly it was with the first batch that were made. mine is louder then the header i had befor but its not bad enough to bother me so to answer your question your stealership probably didnt do anything to cause the noise your hearing. the noise is caused by the primarie tube diameter not being as thick as it should be but not to worry Ive never heard of them cracking or breaking and if it did im sure wes would replace it for you.

Ahh ok thanks man.

But something weird happen to me tonight while out in the town. When I was out vacuuming/shampoo my car. I got done and had my car running cause it only took about 5 mins, put it in reverse and it started to stall out on me.....tried first and it engaged ok but then it started acting like it wanted to stall out and then eventually stalled out. So I left the car off, check hoses CAI, etc for anything loose. Had it off for about 3 mins and started it back up just fine.
It was ok until a couple hours later on my way home, the check engine light decided to come on. Unfortunately I am not mechanically inclined so I dont know what is going on but I did just got my HPTuners, this should tell me what the check engine light is or throw a code?

Again Thx for all the help.
