Unhappy I'm Gonna Cry!!!(Car problem)

All~ Have any of you had a problem with the engine itself? I am not going to do a self diagnostic on this one, but seriously, I just finished work today, it is a Friday, and hell, just to throw it in there, my birthday is on Sunday...now get this...all is well, but 1st gear sounds a little funny, but as soon as I shift into 2nd, "blog blog blog blog" the engine sounds like it is about to die, and let me tell you, the exaust made it sound loud. I almost seemed like a problem with the spark plugs, because I had a different Saturn that would do that whenever I needed to change them. It would also only "lag" when I was accelerating and hell, even the SES came on...multiple times. I haven't heard back from them yet, but I drove it straight from work to the dealership...I hope to hear back from them soon, and believe me, I hope it was just the spark plugs... pray for me!! and oh yea...Vita, I hope you are still able to hold onto one of those CAI for me!

By saying the SES light came on several times, do you mean it was intermittent or it was flashing?

it would come on when I accelerated and then it would turn off when I was at crusing speed...and then I would accelerate again and "shazam" there it is.

If you still have the stock airbox, and maybe replaced the stock air filter with a K&N or other performance filter, double check to see that the filter has not come loose off the top airbox flange connection.

This may be wrong, but you didn't accidentally put 87 octane in it did you?
