hesitation

hi everyone. i have a blue stage 2 redline. sometimes when it is cold, my car hesitates as i am shifting from 1st to 2nd. it feels like i am gonna go through the windsheild. sometimes it feels like its missing when its cold also. once everything gets warmed up, everything goes away. any ideas?

my redline does that too, i think you just have to wait for it to warm up, that seems to work for me

about 22k.........ses light came on once............that reminds me, one time when it did that, it started limping, or missing, or something real bad, thats when the light came on. i just shut it down, fired it back up, and everything was ok, light went off too. just havent had a chance to get the code pulled yet.

that limping is known as "limp mode" around here. I dont know who coined it, I did coin "WTF mode." Anyways, where are you from. If your from a city with 91 octane then you should still be running ok with your stage 2. Are you able to take the car to 7krpm? In the morning, how long do you let the car warm up before you take it out. What does the dealer have to say about it? Did this problem happen before your stage upgrade?

My car does the same thing in the cold. My 2004 Redline is all stock except for my AEM SR intake. It usually only hesitates the first or second time going through the gears. After that its fine.

I had this SAME exact issue...there are threads about it around the later part of last year (timeframe) - in the end, it was due to "premature carbon buildup" on the head (exhaust ports?)...got a new head out of the deal, and haven't had much of an issue since.

When troubleshooting with the dealership, gas quality was a STRONG suspected culprit - especially since I got the car used with 5k on it, but in the end the Tennessee big-wigs decided even 5k of SHIT gas should not cause the issues I was experiencing...I was RELIGIOUS about putting Premium in there since day one.

EXACT same symptoms as you...have the dealership check it out...let it sit there overnight, and show up in the morning and take THEM for a test drive in it so they can dupe it - they couldn't/wouldn't drive it hard enough to find it on their own...my G-F had to drive the Tech herself...

I'm not saying this problem couldn't be caused by other issues as mgm stated, but does anyone actually warm their cars up!? I wont even pull out of the driveway till the temp is at the very least 1/4.
