i dont think any of us well at leas myself have tried anything else however some are going to use the one from the time attack cobalt some say spec me honestly its going to be either the time attack set up or centerforce im probably leaning more toward the time attack set up because I havent personally seen the C/F set up.

yes centerforce does have a setup for us. thats what they told my anyway. i guess sinister redlines had one in his car and he liked it.

djt81185:

Had professional shop install first time (was first revision) scraped bellhousing and eventually destroyed synchros and gears in transmission. (second revision) installed by myself with friends with a GM SAE mechanic supervising and double checked everything. Still on tranny that first clutch destroyed. Still not disengaging at high rpm. Had trans replaced under Gear Rattle TSB (Had been having since day 1). Same 2nd revision clutch still not disengaging at high rpms but atleast allows to go into gear.

Clutchmasters did send me out a another second version (My 3rd clutch from them) to install but I was soo fed up with then I sold it to another person who says it was working fine...I'm gonna have him double check some stuff for me.

I sold it because I asked for a refund or some financial help on the installs and I received nothing. I worked for a major OEM clutch suplier for 1 year in R&D and testing (Valeo) and I know the ins and outs of a clutch.

So as it sits right now the car still does not shift right with the brand new saturn installed trans and 8 bleed procedures. Its definately the clutch.

Dan

First clutch install was done by warren and myself. install wasnt too bad however, I couldnt get the peddal to bleed down and when the car was started there was alot of wierd noises like a rubbing sound. so I had the car towed to saturn they narrowed it down to the hydraulic throwout bearing. they said it was bad. ( I found that kind of hard to believe since when you buy clutch kit from clutchmasters they supply you with a new O.E.M. hydraulic throwout bearing) and causing the clutch fluid (DOT 3) to leak inside the bellhousing. the tec at saturn advised me that a little clutch fluid had gotten on my clutch disk and that it should be replaced. I told the tech I would contact clutchmasters and see if they would send a replacement. luis at clutchmasters said he could give me a new clutch disk but he wasnt sure it would work because when they put the clutch kits together they are made as a "kit and the thickness of the clutch disk might be different and i would be better off just getting a whole new clutch disk and pressure plate. so I brought him the clutch kit that saturn had removed from my car and he replaced it with another one. I took that one back to saturn they installed it and the clutch peddle worked but the car would still move foward when the clutch pedal was depressed all the way to the floor and the car was in gear. so saturn tore it back apart and this time they took my transmission apart and said it had alot of premature wear and thats where the noises I was hearing was coming from. so they (saturn) attempted to rebuild it and that still didnt work. so they replace the tranny with a brandnewone from the factory. the noise was quieter after that but it was still there and I could still get the car to move, when I would have the clutch pedal all the way on the floor and the transmission in gear and it still made noise. finally i took the car to clutch masters in rialto ca and they had a shop of thier choice look (GM IF YOUR WATCHING THIS YOU KNOW WHO IT IS THEY ARE VERY CLOSLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE $CYL FWD CARS AND GM I"M NOT GOING TO SAY NAMES BECAHIS SHOP WAS COMPLETLY COOL WITH ME AND I DONT WANT TO GET THEM MIXED UP IN THE MESS) at the car they took the clutch out again and they found fluid in the bellhousing just like saturn did and they found red gear oil from inside the transmission that had leaked out. anyway the shop replaced my clutch assembly again and the car would still move when i had the clutch peddle on the floor and the car in gear and that shop advised me that saturn might have not did what they said as far as them saying they replaced my transmission with a brandnew one. anyway I took the car back to saturn they took the transmission apart again because i told them that the clutch worked but it still had the issue of moving when i had the clutch peddle on the floor and the car in gear. they traced it back to an oring that was out of shape or not installed correctly the same oring that the NOW STAY STILL when i would put the clutch peddle on the floor with the car in gear. however the rubbing noises are still there and now my first gear syncro assembly is gone. and the transmission is leaking massive amounts of red transmission fluid. HONESTLY I THINK ITS AN ISSUE WITH CLUTCHMASTERS PRODUCTS AND THEY ARE NOT OWNING UP TO IT. currently i have bought an exedy clutch and flywheel and im going to buy a brand new transmission from www.gmpartscheap.com when i get back from london.

I think anyone that has tried the get their issue resolved by CM and has NOT recieved satisfaction, should file a complaint. That's step one in a case like this...

Can any of you dispute the credit card charges?

I have yet to file a complaint with BBB, but it's on my list of things to do...I was waiting to hear what Fullthrottle may have heard when/if he took everything to Base Legal.

I can dispute the CC charges, but that would only hurt UltraRev, not CM...so far, UltraRev has done their part.

Fluid leak?

Hello fellas, I'm the guy that acquired Dan's 3rd revision clutch. I think the clutch is working fine, however after reading fullthrottles post about clutch fluid I'm beginning to doubt how succesful the clutch will work in my car. I have a red fluid forming on my diff housing, it smells like grapes or cherries. And I'm starting to get resistance going into reverse. My documentation of the problem can be found here.
