I love HP Tuners
Alright, time for the update you've all been waiting for. I got the clutch back tuesday, right before I had to go to work. I ended up stopping by Katherine's house, and told her dad that I took a quick look, looked a lot better, but I didn't have time to measure. Off to work I go, and when he got there he measured it all over the place, and said it would work perfectly. I get home and sleep by 4am, wake up to head on out around 8ish.
I get the flywheel back on after fighting with it for so long (the flywheel will not just bolt up. You have to rotate it until all the holes line up perfectly) So thanks Al for helping me figure that out, getting the trans on, and the engine cradle. He had to leave, as did I, so I ate and took a long break.
Katherine's dad gets back and we finish up everything. Torque everything down to spec, and get the tires back on. Go to start it up.
It fires right up, then, after maybe a full second
It dies.
We try it a couple more times with the same results. So we check everything we could think of, and make sure no wires are being crushed and what not. Well, we try it again, and it dies again, so I head on home and grab my laptop with HPT on it. Hook it up and get it ready to scan before I crank it. Well, once again, it dies after a second, but in the second, we get more then enough data to figure the problem out. Looking at the Maf, it was reading 0 all the way across.
So I remove the panel covering the intake, and take a look. Well, 2 weeks ago, when working on the clutch, a socket or something fell into the intake tube, so I removed the whole thing and put it back, but I guess I either forgot to, or figured I'd do it later, but the sensor wasn't plugged in. After everything was hooked back up, started it up again, and she purred away.
Didn't have a chance to drive it yet, but tomorrow that's about all I'll be doing.
Major thanks to everyone who helped out, both in person/over the phone/online!
