My Night!

Well I went to the track tonight, I got 4 runs in here my best was a 14.0 with a 2.1 60' still didn't hit 13's. But on the 5th run I went up to warm my tires up and staged. Got a pretty good launch and top of first started to wheel hop alittle so I let off and got back on it and shifted into 2nd then went to shift into 3rd and I hear a pop and grinding, So I pull over on the side and get out to looke under my car and checked the axles and there perfect then I look at the trans and I notice fluid everywhere. So I guess witht the clutch and upgraded axles the only this to go was the trans......This is fucking bullshit 2 MAJOR parts get distroyed in the matter of 3 wks. I'm really thinking about taking everything off the car and selling it. Just putting it all back to stock and not race it.

Nooooooo!

I get all my "good" ideas for my car from you!

And I went to Cecil for the first time last week and ran a 14.4, all excited to start modding and do better...you can't tell me horror stories like this...

In complete honesty though, what do you think you're gonna do w/ the car?

I really don't know what I'm going to do with it but I think you might be seeing everything up for sale shortly.

It is costing me a arm and a leg to keep upgrading......And yeah guys I know you have to pay to play but when the fuck is it going to end!

Well I'm not trying to lurk and take advantage of your loss, but honestly if you do decide to sell everything, let me know. I've been looking for a K&N and some black powdercoated wheels for a while now...

But still, I really hope you don't sell all the stuff. I mean yeah it's the 2nd (relatively big and important) thing in 2 or 3 weeks, but what about all the fun you've had with it when it's NOT broken. Haha, I know that sounds like a horrible excuse because these things are expensive as fuck, but you know what I mean...

Worse comes to worse bring it back to stock and keep it as a quick daily driver...then buy a cheap car to hook up, and keep as a track slut.

Buy my friends 12 second 95 Eclipse GSX for $2,000. It needs some work, minor parts for tuning and stuff. Newer engine, turbo, awd, a million dollars in upgrades. Vrooooom!

Well, don't.

RWD Conversion.

For real though man, sorry to hear about it...I hope everything works out in the end, in a manner where you keep the RL around, and keep it real badass...

this is NOT a secret - or at least it shouldn't have been...

We KNEW our tranny's weren't built up all that strong - and our clutches, are somewhat of a "fuse" between the tranny and the axles.

ESPECIALLY if you took all the torque mgmt out of your tranny with HPT.

You HAVE to look at the bright side here...THIS is an opportunity to use BWoody's contacts and build us LSJs a RACE tranny - sure, the money spent will suck, but think of the BIG PICTURE...and if you're gonna replace the tranny ANYWAY, you might as well splurge an extra few hundred bones and do it RIGHT.

DO NOT GIVE UP...

...remember, this car was NOT built for drag - you're abusing it FAR beyond what the GMPP engineers EVER envisioned. So, you're gonna break things...it's the nature of the beast - hence, "pay to play".

(I'm gonna come up there and kick you if you sell off everything on your car...that's a promise...ESPECIALLY before you hit 13s!)
