Idle Problem/Limp mode Problem

Ya about a week ago i got my cat taken out and autolites put in gapped to .35 and my car has ran like shit ever since. When i drive it and am coming to a stop the idle dips really low and sometimes almost dies on me. Also when i have the wheel turned my lights dim alittle bit and the car idles all funny with the rpm tach jumps jumping up and down but it stays under 1k rpm. The car also goes into limp mode at WOT when it gets heated up, it happens at least 3 time everytime i go racing. This just started happening when i got the cat taken out and crappy autolites put it. You guys think those 2 things are my problem, cause before them the car ran its ass off.

I had a similar problem.

Cleaned my TB.

No more problems.

Idles like it did when I got the car.

Hey i cleaned the TB and she runs her ass off again, no limp mode or bad idle anymore, the stuff that came out of the TB was pitch black and caked on there good, its all polished and pretty looking again. Thanks man!

Dear All, I have a 2007 ION Red Line with only 5087 km. I bought on April 28th, 2007 and at about 2500 km's I started to get weird idle problems. It would bounce around 1000 to 1500 and almost stall-out. I had the Mech's check it out and clear all and any Engine Trouble Codes. It has only did that one more time since? Any 2007's out there with the same Prob?

i have an 06, it did the same idle bounce shit, between 500 and 1000 rpm. I have heard of a few other guys that has had the same problem. I had an 03 sedan and it did the same thing, its a some what normal thing. i got my shit hp tunned (intense racing rocks) and i have not seen it afterward. i later talked to the performance guy at the deeler and he said its the shity stack tune.

i have like 54k miles and have never cleaned my TB, i bet its fucking nasty, who did you clean it?
