funny sounds

this hasn't affected the car yet, as far as i know, but i keep getting these odd sounds as the car heats up. it also happens just as i turn it off, within moments of the engine stopping.

now, if it were just regular exhaust expansion and contraction, no biggie. but it isn't a little pop, its a huge freaking clang.

sounds like a spring coming loose. or close to that. its happens maybe 2-3 minutes after the car has been on. anybody get this? or should i just up teh dosage of my pills?

its normal. almost all of em do it... spooner had and explanation of what it was, but that was so long ago i cant remember. mine does it though, seems to happen more when its hot out.

yep, i've had 2 RLs and both did it... so does my friends 2.2

Mine used to do it bad in the summer when it got hot. If I ran the car really hard, then stopped at a light, about a minute or 2 later CLUNK! It went away after I changed my cat though.
