Question P2101 and all its friends....

So yea I got teh infamous throttle postition sensor and the works, and yea u can feel the throttle is a bit off at times while part throttle, BUT its mainly in the morning when its cold in the mornings(damn NJ)....as the car(weather) warms up it finally lets it run and lets u drive 10ft w/o goin into limp mode!!

but I got to thinking(I do that sometimes)...and I've read that theres a grease u put somewhere in the throttle body...then I realized Ive been running meth(!DING!)...maybe I took away the grease or something.

so my question is WHAT grease and WHERE??? Check most of the connections and grounds, this is my last resort before I get tuned Friday, might have to rig up HP tuners or something. BTW I gotta aftermarket SMS throttle body...

If you're running an aftermarket TB without tuning for it, I would think that might cause some problems.

when you go down by ron, he'll look at all that...he had that happen to his throttle body too...don't worry, it'll all be good tomorrow when he tunes it and looks at the throttle body...

*BUMP* Anything on this one?? logged/"tuned" it wit HPT etc. etc. thought the problem was alleviated, happened again the next morning. How many things can throw your car into limp mode as soon as you start your car?? The codes for this I believe are P0171, P2135, P2101, P1681. The codes are more or less related to the AAP(pedal assembly) and throttle position.

...It only happens when the engine isnt warmed up and you more or less try to take off, you can kinda feel ur throttle response is a little off at part throttle(slightly hesitant). Soon as it does that for a few seconds the car goes into limp mode.

Just trying to see if anyone else has had this problem before I have a dealer LOOK at it.

See the TSB section in this forum
The 2005-06 cars will require a new PCM and updated software to rectify varisu FALSE throttle control DTCs. Just make sure that if you're TUNED that you use HPT to copy your tuned table values to the NEW files.
DO NOT PUT THE OLDER OS and OLDER CALIBRATION FILES BACK IN THE NEW PCM!!!

my phone is charging or i'd call you right away...
i'm going down to md this saturday at 6am...getting a dyno for us to tune on...75$ 1st half hour, 55 each half after...shouldn't take us more than an hour...sucks you're working this saturday, we could check out your boys dyno and get tuned by ron for nothing...
turns out the nozzle i have on there also is for like the V8's, lol...putting on the smaller nozzle when down there and dyno tuning this mother effer!! lol

edit...and with your pcm from intense, i don't think saturn will touch it..or just don't tell them and see if they recognize...
i'll ask jason (blk06compirl) he's a gm tech...i'll get back at you

I've been throwing this code as well for a while after I got my tune. I can't figure out what is going on I took of the throttle body and cleaned it and I am still throwing this code.
