Boost Gauge took a shit??

Has anyone had their boost gauge just quit working.. Mine hasn't quit.. It just is all weird.. It flutters.. I give the car some gas and the boost gauge is idle and then shoots up, lol.. Its really floaty and never goes above -5.. When I get on it, it just stays there.. Really weird.. I guess I am going to just go ahead and by a Mechanical one from Autometer, but.. Just curious if this has happened to anyone and what the problem could be??

the only time my gauge didnt work was when the vac/boost line came undone from the intake hose cuz u gotta tap into it to hook up the gauge and it popped off the T so i wrapped electrical tape around it so it wouldt againa and might i add being i have an 04 i did the bypass mod so i get more boost(psi) coming out to, LOL! yeah i got mine off Summitracing.

he's talking more of the competition package boost gauge. it is electrical, not mechanical

Alright.. Well.. My Comp Package Stock Boost Gauge took a Shit.. I bought a Mechanical Autometer Phantom II 30 psi Boost Gauge.. I got it in, BUT.. I haven't really messed with it.

1. How do I take my stock boost gauge out from my ladder tach thingy (I have Comp Package.)

2. Any other directions?
