I'm pretty sure there is not a way to do OPT B without a dual pass, but I am very unsure of it. I wrote off installing my HE so I never researched it.

The original how to schematic off Css.net says you can run the option B with it.

Also I checked for kinked hoses today, the outlet for the H/E runs to the drivers side of the pump its kind of in a U position, and where it curves its sortof thin....But not kinked.? Could this be my problem?

I ran the car tonight it was 65 out with temps of 190+while driving for 15+mins.

I have a 2.6 on the car now.

The way I look at it, the only way to see if the HE is working is to test the pump and make sure that's working.

By any chance, did you flush the cobra HE when you got it? This isn't something that some people do when they get it, might be something to think about. It's hard to say what your actual problem could be.
1. blockage in the cobra HE
2. intercooler pump went bad
3. air in the lines
4. slightly kinked line

If you want to alleviate your cobra as the problem, why not buy an extender of sorts and disconnect both hoses from the HE and connect them together. Bleed the system again and see where you're at. Process of elimination, start where you desire.

I never flushed the heat exchanger when I got it..dident think I had to. You don't have to submerge the h/e do you.? I thought I heard that sumwhere.

It just bugs me that its supposed to lower intake temps and its just raising them.

I submerged one of the outlet's in dexcool and the oposite hose as well and while submerged I plugged the hose to the open outlet once all the bubbles went away .... however I should have filled up the small resavor in the middle until I felt comfortable that all the air got out and the cobra h/e was full ... which reminds me several weeks later I am still putting dexcool in the resevor ...
