Intercooler Pump Quit?

Hey yall... need some input

Currently running the dual-pass w/Option B and am seeing several threads made on intercooler pumps that quit. I wondered about mine, and would like any suggestions on ways to see if it's working right. I don't have any kinked hoses on the intercooler setup, and when I turn the engine on, it vibrates the hoses just a bit, but I actually think it might be the engine itself that is making it vibrate.

I have also turned the key to the on position, with the engine off, and waited and then crawled underneath the car and I hear no humming or anything from the pump, and when I feel it, it is not vibrating or running from what I can tell. I checked the relay by switching it with the foglamp relay and the relay is fine.

Is the pump supposed to run with the engine off and the key in the ON position? What other ways can I check to see if it is working?

I am scared to death that I have to buy a new I/C pump.

Yes, it's a Saturn. No, you can't drive it.

what are you iat temps? and to check, open the cap of the coolant filler cap like in front of the car, and with the car on, if the fluid is moving (very noticable) then ur pump is working. if no movement, the pump is not working. make sure its wired correctly first, specially if you have an 04. if its wired right, ur IC pump is shot. its no big deal tho to get a new one. i just got my new one like 3 weeks ago. its not too bad, u can do it urself.

Yeah, you should be able to see the coolant flowing in the filler neck, it will vibrate from the engine, but if it's working, you'll clearly see it flowing, almost kinda tumbling from one side to the other. You can also check the pump with a multi meter. Best place to buy it is from the buyford lightning cobra place. Do a little searching and you'll probably find all the info, and a vid of a working i/c pump flowing.

Burn, I'm shocked. Without Mattman around you actually give helpful and accurate advice. (that's a shitty compliment but take it or leave it)

You have an 06, so your wiring SHOULD be right, but it doesn't hurt to duck under the car and check anyhow. The only other thing I wanted to add is that the pump will not start until the car is on. If you can't tell if it's flowing, there's a pretty easy way - put a pen (or something of that shape) in the neck and see if it starts whipping around.

Ah, you guys are helpful, but all missed the "option b" part.

with option B you eliminate the little filler neck and add the surge tank.

I'll check the wires, but what am I looking for?
