VIDEO: Dead Intercooler Pump?

Hey guys, I know there are over one million threads about this, but I just wanted to get everyone's general opinion before I buy a new pump here. I took a vid of my car after it was on for about 10 minutes...I included a very short WOT pull that I did while the car was on...pulled up to my house, popped the hood and took the rest. Youtube's quality blows, but for those of you who have been through one or two or seven I/C Pumps, let me know if you think mine has died, or is at least almost completely gone.

Thanks guys!

The vid was taken about 15 seconds after I parked it...I just popped the hood and got in to start filming. In fact, I dunno if you can see it but the IAT2 was actually at 163 and changed to 165 while I was looking at the gauge...when I got back in the car to turn it off, it was at 178.

It's about 84* out right now (took the vid about 45 mins ago).

the easiest way to tell is to drive the car. if the pump is working your IAT2 should drop from the 160's to about 120-130 before your even into 3rd gear... if its not working, it will stay in the 160's. Or find a road you can just cruise on for a minute, get up to about 40-45, and the temps should drop fairly quickly. if the temps dont drop into the 120-130 range while cruising, its not working. shouldnt expect anything lower than 110 on a damn near 90* day.

unless your just looking for coolent flow in the filler neck, your temps at idle dont tell you much, an intercooler cant work if theres no airflow. 160* temps at idle, on a hott car are normal.

If it isnt working at all you really shouldnt be doing wide open pulls though, that was a major contributor to my cylinder 4 piston letting go.

Whats average coolent temps normally at? 165 doesent seem to bad..

Before I had my cobra H/E installed I was running high 170ish and now its even higher with the h/e on...still not sure what might be the problem.

your i/c system is completely seperate from engine cooling system. if your IAT2's stay in the 170's you have problems.

It looks fine to me. Here is what you need to do.

Add coolant.
Drive

repeat 20 times.

Serisouly, the stock cooling system is horrible at purging itself.

Its just hard for us(or me at least) to tell if its bad from teh vid, bc ur temp is at 165 and ur idleing. that can be normal, even on a hot day. do what ahirman said and drive it and see if it drops.
