Ran over a log on highway in my RL...ftl

AL right guys, I need some expertise or just perhaps some suggestions on exactly why my car is shaking slightly now after my encounter....

Driving down 64 westbound in West Virginia, I had 3 other people in my RL. We accelerated on the interstate just at a moderate, but controlled speed and as soon as I got in the left lane I see something in the road....I zero in on it before its too late...A Log? couldn't be....on the highway???"BOOM, Vrrrriiiiiiittt,CLANK,CRUNK,WOOOOOoommm" I couldn't swerve I had a semi truck to my right and a vehicle behind me relatively close. I hopped this log with both driver side tires then my car Stalled out on the highway(i believe from the impact of the log)

Now, I feel a vibration of some sort when going over 45 mph.....Any suggestions as of what I could've done? The rims looked to be okay..but i dont know, anyway to check any of this?

Yeah, take it to the dealer. There are a lot of possibilities, alignment, control arm, wheel balance, etc.

I'll have to concur with this and the possible Alignment problem been the prime causes.

I would take it to a saturn dealership, but I feel like I know more about cars than they do everytime I'm there. When I purchased my RL two of the salesmen didnt even know anything about it let alone the difference in a Ion II and a Ion RL. I scheduled an appointment at N.T.B. They have free wheel alignment and tire balance inspections and with me just paying $4.29 a gallon of 92 to fill up anything free is good!

The vibration is most likely a problem with a wheel and or tire. An alignment problem usually results in the vehicle pulling to one side and uneven tire wear.

Result......of the log encounter

Well, My alignment was off 15 degrees and my front driver side rim is bent....My rear driver side tire has a bubble on the wall......Now which brings me to my next question for you guys...Anyone have a comp pkg redline rim for sale? Gun metal with polished lip...I'm in desperate need of one. My car vibrates bad over 80...driving around town is fine because the wheels are spinning fast enough to feel the small dent in the rim...Or does anyone know where to get these rims? Does Saturn still have them for parts?
