Help me before i burn the thing...

Okay guys, I'm sick n fuckin' tired of this god damned car.

1500$ later. Still cant turn right. Cooling fans refuse to be commanded on. jump relay at pin 30->87 on main fuse box for cooling fan. fans kick on 100%. so the fans them selves are fine. cant figure this bullshit out guys. i need some help there. i have voltages with the key off. and on for one relay.

Turning right issue.
Throwing p2101 and a steering code. dont remember the steering code. if it throws it again i'll post it up. but anyways. anytime the car yaws on a right hand turn, or goes up an incline (drive way etc) at an angle. the PCM has been replaced. several relays have been replaced that were suspected as being faulty. wiring harness has been traced. cant find shit. today i was fucking with the fuse box. bumped the power train control micro relay. car shut off. upon restart we got p2101. so basically WTF is going on. like i said we took the fuse box apart. looking for anything loose. put it all back together. tightened some loose ends. havent driven it yet. but i need to put a stop to this.

two different places have looked at the car. saturn just kinda looked at me like your cat does when he catches you fwapping away at porn. cartec (local shop, reputed to be the best in electrical in tulsa) can not figure out the turning right issue. they thought it was part of a tsb and suggested a new PCM. pcm bought and programmed. issue still apparent. i'm running out of money to throw at this god damned thing.

Wop please help!! or anybody who is good in electrical!

The P2101 code has to do with the throttle body control. Have you checked the throttle body and the butterfly?

whenever I read about stuff like this same thing comes to mind. CHECK ALL GROUND CONNECTIONS! They need to be good, remove them clean the ground post. There are several on a Redline that do many things off the same ground....hope this helps....

Dude , take deep breath or two....

there dont you feel better?
Just need more complete and factual data in order to help you
From your quoted statement below it's really not clear exactly what the concern is.

Do you mean to say they dont work AT ALL? (arnt you overheating?) or wont come on when commanded by a scan tool? or???

If there's almost anything wrong with the circuits between the PCM and the relays it should set DTCs.Do you have any?? So other than that that you will also need to check and confirm (with a test lamp AND visually R&R) two 30A cooling fan fuses in your underhood fuse block (should be hot at all times). The ground for the fans is likely good if jumping 30 and 87 of fan relay 1 brings ON Fan #1 to full speed.

But there are 2 other relays that contribute to the fan operation (Fan Relay#1and S/P Fan Relay). Have you replaced all 3 or at least "swapped" fan relays? The way they are wired you can't just jumper 30&87 of one relay.Maybe do a search for an old post of mine for the COOLING FAN MOD and jumper the fuse block as shown in that post. It should bring both fans on 100% IIRC.

Since the PCM was replaced that kind of eliminates that (it controls all three relays), but hopefully you didnt have someone inexperienced messing with HP Tuners as you can screw up the fan operation in there...

You never finished here. anytime the yaws right or goes up an incline... what does it do?? stall??? Is your power steering assist (electrical) working OK or are there any steering messages in the DIC or previous codes in there too?? How are you getting the DTCs?

What has been done to your car. Is it 100% stock??
Wop

Car is not stock. 2.85" 42.5#inj cobra heat exchanger k&n intake and no cat. i think that sums it up on the mods.

on the fans. both relays (up front on the radiator support) are there. the relay we jump is the one in the main fuse box by the coolant tank the main fan relay there. both fans kick on 100% when jumped. The fans don't come on at all unless i jump the relay. the stealership couldn't command them on with a tech 2 (on stock stg0 flash) and i can't get them commanded on via HPT Scanner. its fairly cool here so i just run w/o fans for the time being and if i gets hot i go for a quick jaunt on the highway to cool off and then jump the relay soon as i get some where where i can do it safely. pin 30 on all connectors concerning the fan relays read 12.**v when key is off. this is a bit difficult for me to describe so here goes nothing on the passenger side @ the rad support the connection checks out as 30-12v 86-12v 85-12v 87-0v/ground // Drivers side connector reads 30-12v all others = 0v // fuse box relay 30-12v 86-0v 85-12v 87-0v. this is all done with they key off and using the valve cover as ground.

Now with the turning issue. Previous to the new ECM it would throw P1516 ( i think) and p2101 and perhaps some random other throttle related codes depending on how the car decided to piss me off that day. So far after the replacement pcm it has only gone into limpmode 2x thrown p2101 and a steering code which i didn't save (sorry) the first time was after a hard right hand corner going up an incline to a service road.(threw p2101 and the steering code). last night it went into limp mode again, but this time was on a right hand corner and a chug hole, haven't checked the code yet.

if you need anymore info i'll see what i can dig up.
