extra hole on the solenoid

what is with the extra hole on the solenoid right under the line that runs to the vac cannister. it has a piece of foam on it. I was thinking it is a vacuum so why does the boost gauge install have to come of a T connector off the manifold. Could that be used as the place to put the line for a boost gauge?

It is most likely an exhaust port and the foam is used to silence it.

If it's an exhaust port you're probably NOT supposed to plug it. >_>

The solenoid should be fine. I'm sure the bottom port is a exhaust. That need to be left open so it can bleed out pressure when needed. If your getting a squeeling sound try replacing that aquarium tubing with some heavier tubing. It may be leaking. You didnt adjust the actuator at all did you?

Hehe...I was going to say the same thing...that clear tubing can't be that heat resistant, good thing you swapped em out.

I have to say...the faux 2.4 redline in storm grey looks pretty good but it's still lame.
